The Hanuma Vihari saga with the Andhra Cricket Association keeps getting interesting by the day. According to recent reports, India Today, the player has been assured justice by the newly formed Andhra Pradesh government.
Following this, Hanuma Vihari has decided to reverse his decision to leave the state team and will join the Andhra team for the upcoming domestic season.
Hanuma Vihari to represent Andhra Pradesh next season
In a statement, Vihari said, “What I have faced in the last couple of years is a lot of humiliation, and I have lost my self-respect. That’s the reason why I wanted to leave the Andhra Cricket Association and move to another state. But after meeting Mr Nara Lokesh (state minister), I got the assurance that I have to represent my Telugu state, and I am really happy doing so.”
Delighted to meet you sir and talk about Andhra cricket and I’m sure under your guidance Andhra cricket will excel.

He further added that he is looking forward to representing ACA again.
The Andhra government is said to be vigilant about the politics taking place on the sporting boards. They have announced necessary support to the players and will ensure that the game is promoted fairly and transparently as well.
This move has taken place three weeks after Vihari announced his departure. Vihari confirmed receiving his No-Objection Certificate from ACA, which would open doors for him to other associations.
The internet reports suggest that Vihari had to step down as the captain of Andhra Pradesh following an altercation with Raj KN, the 17th player of the squad and the son of a politician.
This incident led to internal conflict, which didn’t sit well with Vihari. Hence, he decided to leave the state association.
However, now that the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) government, led by Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu and Deputy Chief Minister Pavan Kalyan, has come to support Vihari, it will be interesting to see whether justice is served.
