Facing Kolkata Knight Riders at the iconic Eden Gardens, Punjab Kings showcased an explosive performance to surpass the daunting target of 262 runs with remarkable ease, securing an emphatic eight-wicket victory.

Led by an extraordinary innings from opener Jonny Bairstow, who remained unbeaten with a scintillating 108 off just 48 deliveries, Punjab Kings displayed sheer dominance with the bat. Bairstow’s innings, embellished with eight fours and nine towering sixes, provided the impetus needed for PBKS to clinch the win. Impact Player Prabhsimran Singh also played a crucial role with a blistering 54 off 20 balls to set the tone early on.

The monumental total of 262-2 not only marked Punjab Kings’ highest innings in the IPL but also equalled the joint-highest score in IPL history for a team batting second. With this resounding victory, Punjab Kings catapulted to eighth place in the IPL standings, reigniting their campaign with six crucial points from nine games.
