The right-handed batter, currently undergoing rehabilitation at the National Cricket Academy in Bengaluru, faces a tight schedule ahead of the opener against Gujarat Titans.

According to an anonymous BCCI source, Suryakumar Yadav’s rehabilitation progress is promising, ensuring his return during the IPL. Nevertheless, clearance for the first two away matches against Gujarat Titans and Sunrisers Hyderabad on March 27 remains uncertain. The NCA’s Sports Science and Medical Team will be pivotal in determining Surya’s availability for the crucial opening fixtures.

Despite engaging in rigorous Strength and Conditioning routines, as showcased on his Instagram handle, Suryakumar Yadav has yet to share videos indicating his batting form. His last competitive appearance was in a T20I against South Africa on December 14, missing the DY Patil T20 Cup, where Hardik Pandya and Ishan Kishan made their comebacks.
