Virat Kohli shares an unbreakable bond with Royal Challengers Bangalore. This was proven once again when the former captain of the IPL franchise video-called Smriti Mandhana after she took her team to a maiden WPL title.
This is the first time Royal Challengers Bangalore’s team has won a major title. The team has been in the IPL since 2008, and Virat Kohli has been with it since the first season.

Royal Challengers Bangalore won their first WPL title on Sunday after defeating Delhi Capitals in their second consecutive final. It was a stellar bowling performance to begin with for RCB.
Once again, Shreyanka Patil was their pick of the bowlers. She clinched four wickets in her 3.3 overs to ensure that DC was not running away with the game at any point. Along with her, Molineux was also steadfast with the ball. She applied brakes to Shafali Varma’s innings, which was off to a great start. With a collective effort, they were able to curtail DC’s innings to a marginal total of 113 runs in 18.3 overs.
The batters completed the rest of the task. Mandhana and Devine gave RCB a solid start with the opening partnership amounting to 49 runs. Devine was the aggressor of the two and departed, trying to cruise her side to victory. Mandhana also departed in the same fashion a few overs later.
Richa Ghosh and Ellyse Perry, however, ensured that RCB didn’t lose any more wickets and took their side to victory with three balls to spare.
With this victory, they have finally fulfilled their promise of “Ee Sala Cup Namde,” which translates to “This year, the cup is ours.”
