Sunrisers Hyderabad might not have won the IPL 2024, but they surely changed the way batting and cricketing dynamics were viewed before this season.

Hailing their great batting prowess that saw them break several records and reach the finals, Kavya Maran, their owner, shared a wholesome moment with the team.

Following the loss of her team, Maran was seen in tears. However, that didn’t stop her from lifting her team’s spirits after their loss against KKR. A video of her entering the dressing post the game has surfaced online. In that video, she can be seen saying, “You all have made us so proud. I had to come here and tell you that. I mean, you have redefined the way we play T20 cricket, and everyone is talking about us. The off-day had to happen today, but really, great job with the bat, with the ball.”

She also thanked the fans for their immense support. Kavya mentioned how, despite their team ending up in the last position on the points table last season, the fans turned up in great numbers. She was very proud of her boys when she said, “We have played the finals. It wasn’t just any other game. All the other teams have been watching us tonight.”

It was a morbid outing for SRH in the final, though. They were outclassed with the bat in hand, as Starc and co. from KKR bottled them for 113 runs, which is also the lowest IPL final total.

Later, the KKR batters finished the game in just 10.4 overs, further showcasing their talented side this year. They have performed dominatingly throughout the season and won the title in the same manner.
